A special court acquitted 32 top leaders, including the former Deputy PM Lal Krishna Advani and former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi from the Bharatiya Janata Party, for their argued role in the demolition of the historic mosque in 1992. The incident sparked communal riots that killed around 2,000 people. The court said there was no conclusive proof against the accused and that Babri Masjid Demolition was “not pre-planned” and that it happened at the “spur of the moment.”
Senior BJP leader Shri LK Advani said that ” the verdict of the court is important and a good news for us. We welcome the decision by saying “Jai Sri Ram”.
